Super Chef Andrew is a second generation Thai Chef. Andrew and his family moved from Bangkok in 1984. His Father, Gil Lobeck has been a long standing fixture in Seabrook... His father opened Bay Thai in 1990 in Seabrook and brought his culture to this community. Andrew went to work for his father when he was twenty and learned a great passion for making people happy with food. In 2004 Gil retired and in January 2005, Chef Andrew decided to follow in his father footsteps and opened in the same location but as "Merlion". On September 11, 2008 Ike washed Merlion away, leaving nothing but it's sign behind. In February 2009 Merlion was resurrected two streets over from it's original location. Andrew has a unique love for making exquisite food. He has taken his dad's great traditional Thai Food and put an American Fusion Twist on it to make it his own.
